| | Tied up in ancient history I didn't believe in destiny I look up you're standing next to me What a feeling --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Procrastination has never felt so completed. There are severe delays in all areas requiring my attention but I rather write about going to a gig played by the bf's old band. Technically he has not left the band. His bio is up on their myspace page and the songs that he played on are still part of the music stream. But tonight he was just another member in the audience rooting for an old favorite with a new lineup. Full of curiosity, I'll bet, to see how far the band has come since his ambiguous departure. To both of our surprises, the sound of the band has changed dramatically. The melancholy whispers that I have gotten used to (and am listening to at the moment) have been replaced by upbeat lyrics and melodies. Happily perplexed, the bf turned to me and said, "When I was with them, all we played were depressing folksy songs."
Now, what does that say about him?
POST-BAND: See bf channels his creativity into making psychotic biscuits in gingerbread rabbit forms.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've got a feeling in my soul Love burns brighter than sunshine It's brighter than sunshine Let the rain fall I don't care I'm yours and suddenly you're mine Suddenly you're mine And it's brighter than sunshine |
